This is a Guards/Station Right of Way Torch.
It was from the NSW Public Transport Commission in the 1970s and was used to tell the guard or station the train is safe to depart a station.
The torch features Clear, Red and Green Lenses.
Clear for Electric Train, Red to Stop, Green for a Locomotive Hauled Service. This torch is in working condition and was last used at Blackheath Station in 2023.
